Kendriya Vidyalaya Aminoo, Kulgam is located in Kulgam. It’s a gift to the people of Kulgam. The school is located approximately 500 m away from the Kulgam Market near power grid station .

From its humble beginnings in 1963, KVS has grown into an inspiring institution of excellence in school education. "--- Swami Vivekananda The eternal words above define an autonomous body under the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan- Ministry of Human Resource Development of India. KVS is a vibrant and premier educational institution in the field of quality school education. The KVS Jammu region was established in 1984 and currently has jurisdiction over 38 KVs located in Jammu and Kashmir, with a dedicated, well-equipped and committed team of effective management and teachers for the intellectual, moral and spiritual development of the students. Under is working in the same direction. A galaxy of multidisciplinary curricular activities is organized on a regular basis to bring out the best in students. ‘All round personality development’ is an important focus area to enable our students to march with the ever changing world of technology and globalization. We believe in inclusive education with principle "to inspire the weak, to address the average and challenge the gifts". We are proud to help our students develop and develop the next generation sensitive and responsive citizens. In a world torn apart by ethnic clashes all over, in a country where religious beliefs and linguistic chauvinism has done more harm than being a bonding factor, in a state like ours which has been witnessing the menace of insurgency, in the age of transition when the need for change in the educational system from rote memorization to skill development is being felt by one and all –the only hope is the teaching fraternity. And believe it or not, our hope lies in institutions like Kendriya Vidyalaya Aminoo, Kulgam which has been functioning under the aegis of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, and New Delhi where the qualified and trained faculty has been actualizing their synergy out since 2003 to create a world class citizenry among the students. And it is my strong conviction that Kendriya Vidyalaya Aminoo, Kulgam will keep on this effort, come what may, to help local populace of this beautiful place avail the opportunity of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan expertise in the field of school education.
